I started this business in 2021 because I absolutely LOVE being around flowers, and learning how to design and sell arrangements seemed like the best way I could spend more time around them.

Professionally designed flowers are often considered a luxury because of how expensive they are, and it’s important to me to offer more accessible options so everyone can enjoy having flowers in their home and at their events. I’m also passionate about sustainability, and I find that the ways I engage with sustainability in my business go hand in hand with enabling more budget-friendly offerings - for example, using second hand glassware/ceramics and recycled, unbranded packaging materials.

The business began with me making small arrangements in my bedroom and selling them to friends, and I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported my work as Mak’s Flowers continues to blossom over the years.

My favorite thing I’m offering now is workshops! I love seeing the focus, creativity, and joy as people learn new skills and create something they’re proud of.
